Alabama Counties and organizations offering communities Household Chemical Collection Days may apply for a grant from Legacy. Applicants may apply for up to $2,000 in order to provide educational information to consumers about Chemical Collection Days, proper preparation of materials to be disposed of, materials that can be accepted at collection sites, and general public awareness of hazards presented to the environment by improper disposal. These collection day grants are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
