alabama's watersheds

Alabama has more than 47,000 miles of perennial rivers and streams and an additional 30,000 miles of intermittent stream. Alabama’s Watershed poster uses a cartoon type of design to depict a watershed that flows from the mountains in North Alabama to the Beach in South Alabama.

The poster also has a drawing of the state and the 14 main watersheds or basins within the state. An additional drawing explains how the water cycle affects the watershed.

Legacy, along with the EPA and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management sponsored the production of the poster.
